Daily Prayer

Posted By Snow at 6/18/2010

Recite, what has been revealed to you of the Book, and establish prayer; indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater; and Allah Knows that which you do. [Holy Quran 29:45]

............................................................................................................
Let's Start To Pray
............................................................................................................

[1] Intention & Takbir

Stand right. Say the intention to pray in your heart.
E.g for Zuhr prayer, intend in the heart:
I pray fardhu Zuhr 4 raka'at for Allah Ta'ala

Keep the intention. Then raise your hands & say:
Allah Most Great

After this, you're now starting the first raka'at.

[2] Recitations

For the 1st raka'at, it's recommended to start with the Iftitah:

Allah Most Great and all praises to Allah greatly
All glories to Allah in the mornings and the evenings
I turn my face towards He
who Created the heavens and the earth
inclining toward truth as those who submit
and I am not of those who are idolaters
[Q6:79]
Indeed my prayers, my sacrifices, my life and my death
are for Allah Lord of the worlds
No partner has He, and this I have been commanded
and I am among those who submit
[Q6:162-163]

Recite Surah Al-Fatihah. This surah is read for every raka'at.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
(All) the praises for Allah, Lord of the worlds
The Most Gracious the Most Merciful
Sovereign of the Day of Judgment
It is You we worship and it is You we ask for help
Guide us to Siratul Mustaqim (straight path)
The path of whom You have bestowed favor upon them,
not the ones who incurred Your anger upon them, and not the astray

After reciting surah Al-Fatihah, it is recommended to recite another surah
for the first and second raka'at. E.g:
· for the first raka'at, recite surah Al-Ikhlas
· for the second raka'at, recite surah Al-Kauthar
· for other raka'at, there are no additional surah

[3] Rukuk

Bowing & rest for a moment. Say (3 times):
All glory to my Lord the Most Great and all praises to Him
[4] Iktidal

While rising from rukuk, say:
Allah Hears those who praise Him

Standing & rest for a moment. Say:
Our Lord to you is all praises

[5] Sujud

Prostrating & rest for a moment. Say (3 times):
All glory to my Lord the Most High and all praises to Him

The forehead should be bare and holds some weight.

[6] Sitting Between 2 Sujud

Sitting & rest for a moment. Recite:

O my Lord, please forgive me, have mercy on me, cover my shame, raise me, sustain me, guide me, give me health and forgive me

Then repeat [5] to complete 2 prostrations.

Then from the 2nd prostration:
-----if this is the 2nd or final raka'at do [7]
-----else, start the next raka'at at [2]

[7] Tahiyyat Sitting

Sitting. Recite:

The blessed salutations, the good blessings are for Allah
Peace be upon you O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah & His blessings
Peace be upon us, and upon Allah's righteous servants

Recite & raise right index finger at الا الله:

I bear witness there is no God but Allah
And I bear witness Muhammad is Allah's Messenger
O Allah, please bless upon Muhammad

If this is the final final raka'at do [8]
Else, start the next raka'at at [2].

[8] Say Peace For The Prophets

Sitting. Recite:

O Allah, please bless upon Muhammad and upon his family
as much as You bless upon Abraham and upon his family
and please bless upon Muhammad and upon his family
as much as You bless upon Abraham and upon his family
In the universe, verily You are Most Praised Most Majestic

[9] Salam

Say salam to your right:
Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah

and say salam to your left

After the salam, the prayer is completed ☆

I wonder if praying reflects our Judgement Day. If we love our meeting with Allah SWT when praying, insha Allah we will love our meeting with Him on Judgement Day ♡ من أحب لقاء الله أحب الله لقاءه Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him [SB8.76.515]
